The Sun moved into Pisces on February 18.
Pisces is ruled by planet Neptune. Pisces marks the culmination of the circular evolvement of individual awareness back to spiritual wholeness. Neptune reflects that part in us that is able to experience oneness with all that is. When we feel connection and compassion for others, for humanity as a whole, even for other species, as well as for our selves, we draw from our “spiritual heart”. The energy of Pisces entices us to live from that greater heart as a way of life.
The New Moon is on February 26. The planet Mars serves as an instigator of action in this lunar configuration. Mars joins Uranus, almost exactly; giving active and impulsive energy to the ongoing Uranus/Pluto/Jupiter square that is dominating the human collective during this year. Uranus is already a freedom-loving, eccentric and rebellious force for each and all of us, but when combined with the impulsive and aggressive and angry energy of Mars squaring Pluto, watch out! This may be the day we all feel the overreach of power mongering (Mars oppose Jupiter) in our lives and collectively set the New Moon intention of reining it in. Such intense tension could lead to violence
Fortunately, for all of us, this New Moon falls in the sign of Pisces, and conjoins Neptune, which deepens our ability to hold compassion and love for even those we might otherwise fear or hate. So, set your personal intention to keep your greater spiritual heart awake while tensions build. This same configuration can also heighten our illusions and delusions, allowing dishonest players to channel our soulful idealism into false hopes.
With Saturn harmonically combining, by trine, its practical and orderly energy to that Uranus’s intuitive and inventive spirit, the ground is laid for creative solutions to move us forward and past the status quo. By aligning your own energy with those who aspire to achieve possibilities outside of the limited views the paradigm of separation, you contribute synergistic energy to our collective well being.
The Full Moon on March 12 will be the culmination of the energies set in motion in the New Moon. By then, Saturn will square with the Sun and Moon, acting as enforcer of consequences. With the Moon in Virgo, opposite the Pisces Sun, emotional dispositions will tend to focus on what is not right and to “fix” things gone awry. Mars will have relaxed it grip on the situation and, allowing cooler heads to prevail.
